Unistar uses a Compound-style governance system, which is becoming the standard for DAO-centric projects. The system consists of basic contracts, is easy to reason about and is very rigorously audited.

This document is a dynamic document that represents a guide to the current process for developing and progressing Unistar's governance proposals.

Unistar Governance may use multiple governance venues, each with its own specific purpose. These processes may be subject to change based on feedback from the Unistar community.

The initial idea

A Discord channel for governance-related discussions, where any community member is encouraged to post a draft to get initial reaction feedback.

Discussions

A Discourse-hosted forum for moderating related discussions. Community members must register an account before they can share or like posts. Based on the comments collected on the first draft, you can refine and update your proposal.

Signal voting - a simple interface for voting on gas signals.

A simple gas signal voting interface that allows users to signal their sentiment under the chain. Votes for scattershot are weighted by the number of USR and LP tokens entrusted to the address used for voting. Given the cost of gas on the ethereum network, most non-transaction based decisions are voted on via scattershot. 4.

Final Voting

Tally is a user-friendly interface for governing smart contracts that empowers users to own governance through a voting dashboard, governance tools and real-time research and analytics. The application can be used to review data about the governance system, active and past proposals and individual delegates or token holders. The app also supports direct voting and voting proxies to help users put their governance insights into action.
